Alessandro Garbagna is an italian actor based in New York. He was recently interviewed by Famo Celebrity Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with him.
Introduction – Can you tell us a bit about your yourself?
My name is Alessandro Garbagna. I’m an Italian actor based in New York City, trained in both musical theater and acting for the camera. I love connecting with people through humor and emotion.
Personal Background – Can you share a little experience about your Upbringing and Early Life?
I was born and raised in Italy, in a small town where everyone knew each other. Growing up, I was always curious and expressive — I loved making people laugh and entertaining my friends. My family wasn’t involved in the arts, but they always supported my creativity. I discovered my passion for performing early on, which eventually led me to move to New York City to study acting and musical theater. It was a big change, but it taught me a lot about independence, resilience, and staying true to myself.

Career and Achievements – What do you consider the Highlights of your Career so far?
In Italy, a highlight was starring and producing “Not Another GREASE Story” and “Gimme Another ABBA Story,” and touring with “Gli Sposi Promessi Show.” In the USA, I starred in The Wrestle, which was nominated at the New York Theater Festival twice, and acted in the short films To the Universe and Surviving.
Challenges and Growth – What are some of the Challenges you’ve faced in your Career, and how did you Overcome them?
I used to struggle a lot with anxiety and negative self-talk. It was hard at first because I would perform and feel self-critical even for the smallest mistakes. Today, I see everything as an opportunity to grow and learn. I’m grateful for my mistakes and have learned to appreciate myself more and more.

Passions and Hobbies – What are your Interests and Hobbies outside of your Career?
I love running and traveling.
Milestones and Future Goals – What are some of the Milestones you hope to Achieve in the coming years?
I would love to be in a sci-fi movie.
Life Lessons – What is the most Valuable Lesson you’ve learned in your Life or Career?
I believe that anything is possible, and we should trust the unexpected. Being an actor is like becoming a superhero — someone who understands themselves so well that they can recognize their fears, face them, and inspire hope in others.

Advice for Aspiring Artists – What advice would you give to Young Artists looking to make a Mark in the Industry?
I would tell them that it’s hard, but if you don’t quit, you’ll see the benefits of being immersed in this industry. The worst-case scenario is that you don’t get jobs, but you gain a lot of confidence and experience along the way.
