Isaih Mitchell, also known as “Zayy Arko” is an artist and business owner from Aurora, Colorado. Hardworking, driven, and musical, he is on the right path toward success. Zayy Arko stays on the scene with major collaborations and behind the scene presence with upcoming artists. Zayy Arko has all around talent that has followed him for years. Becoming more serious, being motivated to his work, Zayy Arko is on a mission to make it to the top.
“I’ve been making music for a good majority of my life and I’ve been getting super serious about it the past couple years but right now I have a lot of music videos and a couple albums dropping that involve my guitar and other instruments I play such as piano and drums I’m really excited to bring that to the Colorado music scene and show people what I got.” Zayy Arkois a well-rounded artist and collaborator who refuses to give up even when things don’t go as planned. His inspiration has levels, and his music has always been there as a driving force in his life and his team and himself are on the come up. “Me and my Team Pride of Kings got a lot of movies and shows coming this year. Our podcast THE BIG LION SHOW on YouTube has been going well. we also got a lot of new clothing dropping soon stay tuned for that y’all don’t want to miss it”.
Where are you from?
A: ACO Aurora, Colorado. Grew up here my whole life. I been all around the city but mainly.
What is inspiring you right now consistently to work on your endeavors?
A: I don’t really have a specific inspiration but I guess you can say I’ve been through a lot of things mentally that have brought me to this mindset to wanna be the best I can be so I grind everyday for my goals so I can reach them and not have any worries in life. I want to be able to take care of my people.
As a business owner, what are some obstacles have you had to overcome to get where you are at?
A: Me and my partner Own the business Colorado Fresh Inside the Aurora mall. We sell Designer Fragrance oils, sprays, and Shea butters and other hygiene products And we’ve been through a lot of malls and came from the street with a sign and barely any products to a mini shop in the mall right by rue 21. But we couldn’t have done it without dedication and hard work. it will take you a long and we both just kept our heads up and didn’t let the pandemic stop us im very thankful to have the team I do and I love helping people and being a positive part of the community.
Who were the most influential people in your life?
A: My Mom definitely a big part of who I am and why I’m so driven in life she takes care of 3 kids on her own and she is such a strong and kind hearted person she inspires me to be the best I can be and I want to be able to take care of her and my siblings that’s why I work literally everyday.
Another big inspiration in my life was my business partner and Best friend Bilal he’s definitely a big part of why I am where I am today as well I met him at the age of 16 and he has mentored me and taught me a lot of things that I have used to become stronger mentally and physically I am very thankful to have him in my life and he inspires me to own more businesses in the future.
Even though Zayy Arko is devoted to perfecting the art of his music to the highest level, his hardships have made him want to do even better in his business. His projects are staying aligned with his mission in making it to the top in music. “One thing that really helped me overcome most of my struggles is physical discipline. I started going to the gym 4 out of 7 days of the week and I was feeling great and seeing results and now it has become a part of my daily routine and honestly it’s one of the best ways to really feel great everyday and stay healthy”.
Despite issues that are faced in the industry, Zayy Arko never let go of his vision. Zayy Arko has a goal to make people want to see more of him, which he has already been proving. Putting in the hours of work, commitment, and inspiration both in front of and behind the scenes in the year 2022, he makes a difference in the music business. “KEEP GOING. No matter how hard it gets and how much life tries to bring you down, keep yo head up and keep grinding because all the negative things are temporary. There’s always a rainbow after a storm”.
