Atlanta-based soul and R&B singer Will Preston is entering a new chapter in his musical journey with his latest album, Erratic Heartbeats. Officially released on June 5, 2026, the 12-track collection explores the complicated and often unfiltered emotions that come with love, vulnerability, and relationships.
Blending contemporary production with Preston’s soulful vocal style, the album offers a collection of stories that move through uncertainty, emotional conflict, reflection, and intimacy. Rather than presenting love as a simple experience, Erratic Heartbeats explores the many emotions that can exist within relationships, giving the project a personal and relatable quality.
A Story Told Through Singles
Before the full album arrived, Preston introduced listeners to several tracks that helped establish the emotional direction of the project.
“Don’t Like Falling In Love” serves as an angst-filled and soulful confession, capturing the hesitation and emotional tension that can accompany falling for someone. The song sets an introspective tone while highlighting Preston’s ability to turn personal emotions into musical storytelling.
With “Stuck In The Middle,” Preston explores the complicated position of becoming someone’s romantic confidant and the unintended consequences that can follow. The track adds another layer to the album’s examination of relationships and emotional boundaries.
“I Just Can’t Understand” reveals another side of Preston’s vocal artistry. Emotionally raw and direct, the song allows his voice to carry the weight of confusion and vulnerability.
Meanwhile, “Pieces Of Our Hearts” takes a more reflective approach. The track recently received an official visual video release, adding another visual dimension to its emotional message.
Modern Sound, Soulful Identity
Erratic Heartbeats represents a bold step forward for Preston while maintaining the soulful sophistication that defines his musical identity. Modern production techniques give the album a contemporary sound without taking away from its emphasis on vocals, emotion, and storytelling.
The result is a project that connects classic R&B sensibilities with a more current musical approach, creating space for Preston to explore both his established sound and new creative directions.
Independent with a Global Reach
The album also marks an important step in Preston’s career beyond the music itself. For the release, he secured a global distribution partnership with Omax Masters in collaboration with The Orchard / Sony Music Entertainment.
The partnership gives Erratic Heartbeats an opportunity to reach listeners across international markets while allowing Preston to remain fully independent and retain ownership of his master recordings.
With its combination of emotional storytelling, contemporary R&B production, and independent artistic control, Erratic Heartbeats presents Will Preston at a significant point in his musical evolution—using the complexities of love and relationships as the heartbeat of his latest creative chapter.
