Tommy Vilés was recently interviewed by Famo Celebrity Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with him.
Magazine: Congratulations on being the face of Specsavers for the 8th year! How does it feel?
Tommy: Thank you! It feels good. Being part of the Specsavers family for so long is truly an honor. Their values align with mine, making it a joy to represent them.
Magazine: What’s the secret to maintaining this long-standing partnership?
Tommy: I genuinely believe in Specsavers’ mission and use their products. Getting a good picture taken and a bit of luck goes a long way.
Magazine: How did being Mr. Plymouth shape your career and your work with Specsavers?
Tommy: Winning Mr. Plymouth opened many doors and gave me a platform. It taught me the importance of community and confidence, which has been invaluable in my role with Specsavers.
Magazine: What’s your favorite Specsavers campaign?
Tommy: The “Should’ve Gone to Specsavers” campaign is a classic. It was hilarious, creative, and really connected with people.
Magazine: What was it like working with Rankin on the stills shoot?
Tommy: Working with Rankin was great. His energy and vision are unmatched. He made the shoot dynamic and fun, and we captured some great images.
Magazine: What other projects are you pursuing?
Tommy: I’m in the process of co-writing a feature film with a production company. I’m also having fun with blockchain and have some other things in the background.
Magazine: How do you balance your professional and personal life?
Tommy: Unfortunately, I say No a lot to a lot of things. I’m hoping to make up time with the social life later down the line.
Magazine: What advice do you have for aspiring actors or models?
Tommy: Stay true to yourself, be persistent, and be patient. Take care of your physical and mental health first, but try not to take yourself too seriously either.
