Maria, you’ve had such a diverse and impressive career—from psychotherapy to haute couture to now stepping into the world of acting and hosting. How has each chapter of your journey influenced the person you are today?

I love how my life has unfolded—every success, failure, and challenge has shaped who I am. I’m deeply diverse, adaptable, and continually evolving. Connecting with people is one of my greatest joys—stepping into their world, understanding their inner landscape, and helping shift what no longer serves them. My journey, both personal and professional, has deeply enriched me—emotionally, culturally, and spiritually.

As a trained psychotherapist, how has your understanding of human behavior and emotions shaped your approach to acting and entertaining?

With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of human emotions, thought, and behavior. This allows me to embody a wide range of feelings with authenticity, bringing depth and truth to every moment on screen. My work as a mental health counselor has immersed me in the full spectrum of human experience, making emotional expression feel natural and deeply resonant.

The Anagenesis Method™ blends psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, shamanic practices, and energy healing. Can you share what inspired you to create this methodology, and how it has transformed your work with others?

Early in my clinical work, I realized talk therapy alone couldn’t fully reach the depth of human suffering. I turned to hypnotherapy for access to the subconscious, then expanded into shamanism and intuitive work to offer a truly holistic approach.

This led to the creation of the Anagenesis Method—a multidimensional healing process that works on the mind, brain, body, soul, and spirit simultaneously. In just one session, clients experience real shifts in cognition, trauma, intuition, and energy, often leaving them transformed.

Your background in haute couture and performance arts gives you a unique perspective on visual storytelling. How do you incorporate those skills and experiences into your current projects, whether in therapy or acting?

My clinical work and acting complement each other beautifully. My deep understanding of human emotion enhances my ability to act authentically—and acting, in turn, enriches my therapy sessions.

In sessions, I use vivid storytelling to help clients visualize what they’re experiencing. I bring their inner world to life with dynamic, relatable examples—almost like watching a movie of their own story. This helps them understand their past, present, and future with greater clarity, leading to faster and deeper transformation.

As someone who’s worked in the world of high fashion, what role does self-expression and presence play in your approach to therapy and healing? How do you help others find their own authentic voice?

I believe self-suppression is one of the biggest blocks to discovering our true selves. Both fashion and acting offer powerful ways to break that pattern; they let us express who we really are, beyond words. Fashion allows us to align our outer appearance with our inner world, our emotions, values, and energy. It’s been a vital tool in my own healing, and in helping others reconnect with their authentic self.

Acting also deepens self-awareness. By stepping into different roles, we not only express ourselves, but develop empathy. Even if we haven’t lived a certain experience—like motherhood—embodying it through a character helps us understand it emotionally. That’s the beauty of art: it bridges human experience and makes connection more real, more meaningful.

You’re set to host your own talk show, where depth meets delight. What can we expect from this show, and how do you plan to balance soulful conversations with lighthearted humor?

My talk show is a space for healing, purpose, and transformation. I want to help millions reconnect with their soul’s purpose and reshape their lives in a way that’s loving and meaningful.

We live in a time of disconnection—high stress, low trust in relationships, and a loss of purpose. Through live psychotherapy and shamanic sessions with my guests, I hope to spark healing in everyone watching.

And yes, humour will be part of the journey. It’s a powerful tool I use to gently lift people out of heaviness and bring light to even the deepest moments.

Having worked with individuals, couples, and families for over two decades, what has been the most profound transformation you’ve witnessed in your clients’ lives?

I’ve witnessed my clients with little self-worth uncover their gifts, walk away from relationships that diminish them, and completely transform their lives. They’ve found supportive partners, meaningful friendships, and created joyful, expansive paths filled with purpose.

More than that, they’ve gone on to contribute deeply to their communities, workplaces, and society. To me, that is success. That is the true goal of life—to morph into our authentic self and offer that to the world.

In your therapy practice, you blend ancient wisdom with modern science. How do you see the integration of these two worlds in your work, and what makes it so effective for those seeking change?

To truly heal the present—or understand the future—we must first understand the past. Modern medicine often overlooks ancient wisdom and the holistic remedies our ancestors used to heal both body and mind.

Today, we isolate problems—depression, anxiety, and cancer without recognizing that we are wholesome beings. Our soul, spirit, body, mind, and brain are in constant dialogue. Real healing happens when we integrate all these parts.

This fusion of ancient wisdom and modern science is what I bring to my work—and what I want my talk showguests to experience. As both host and therapist, my mission is to guide others toward that deep, whole-person transformation.

You’ve spent years guiding people through emotional healing. As someone who helps others rise, what has been the most significant personal lesson you’ve learned along your own journey?

I’ve learned not to draw conclusions about others until I’ve truly walked in their shoes. It’s easy to assume, to judge—but unless we know someone’s full story—their struggles, motivations, and the reasons behind their choices—we have no right to criticize. Compassion begins with understanding, not assumption.

How do you approach the challenge of making deep, transformational work accessible and relatable to a wider audience, particularly in your role as an upcoming actor and TV host?

As a talk show host, my mission is to educate, inspire, and help people release pain and trauma—so they can create more fulfilling lives. Psychotherapy isn’t accessible to everyone, but a thoughtfully structured show, guided by a trained therapist, can offer powerful moments of healing to a wider audience.

As an actor, I also aim to inspire through the roles I choose. When we witness a character face struggles similar to our own—and overcome them—it can move us, teach us, and even shift how we approach our own lives. Storytelling, whether on screen or through conversation, has the power to heal.

Given your background in both the spiritual and psychological realms, how do you help clients or viewers navigate the intersection between their inner healing and the external pressures of modern society?

Balancing personal healing with showing up for others—at home, in relationships, and at work—can be challenging. I teach my audience and clients how to recognize when their healing needs to take priority, and when it’s time to pause and be present for others.

It’s about discernment. Sometimes, we must ask loved ones for patience as we heal. Other times, healing happens through connection—by being there for someone else. Learning when to lean inward and when to lean outward is key to living a balanced, meaningful life.

You’ve accomplished so much already, but looking ahead, what are the next steps for you in terms of your acting career, talk show, or any new projects you’re excited to pursue?

I’m excited to add new layers to my career—stepping into the role of a talk show host and exploring meaningful characters on screen: a mother, therapist, mentor, teacher, neighbor.
Through both hosting and acting, my hope is to inspire growth, healing, and self-discovery. I want to help people learn, release what holds them back, and rise to the fullest expression of who they’re meant to become.

You often emphasize the message that “You are not here to shrink. You are here to rise.” How do you encourage your clients and viewers to embrace this mindset in their own lives?

I help my clients unlock their full potential by guiding them to envision a life of true freedom—free from limiting beliefs, social constructs, and the expectations of others.

I invite them to imagine an existence where growth and expansion are constant. I’ve witnessed many liberate themselves from the constraints others placed on them—and rise, unapologetically, toward their highest self.

What are the biggest challenges you face as you transition into acting and hosting, and how do you plan to overcome them while staying true to your core mission of healing and transformation?

I haven’t faced any real obstacles so far, and I hope that continues. I keep meeting incredible, expansive people—full of vision and passion—and I truly love this new world I’m stepping into.

One of my personal secrets to achieving goals is that I don’t believe in obstacles. Even when challenges arise, I see them as part of the perfect curriculum—guiding me exactly where I need to go. That mindset fuels my energy, strengthens my faith, and keeps me moving forward with clarity and joy.

How do you balance the therapeutic aspects of your work with the entertainment world, especially when they can seem so different? How do you find common ground between these two worlds?

At first glance, therapy and entertainment may seem like two separate worlds—but in truth, they deeply overlap. In therapy, I guide people to understand and express their emotions, shift their self-perception, and transform their lives. In acting, we bring to life a character’s emotions, perceptions, and inner world.

Both fields revolve around the same human elements—emotion, behavior, belief, and transformation. For me, these two worlds aren’t opposites: they’re beautifully complementary.
