Dawnn Vance was recently interviewed by Famo Celebrity Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.
Career and Achievements – What do you consider the Highlights of your Career so far?
“I’ve accomplished a lot in a short time, and that really keeps me motivated and driven. I’m the proud owner of The Febe Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability, youth development, and community empowerment.”
Challenges and Growth – What are some of the Challenges you’ve faced in your Career, and how did you Overcome them?
The global community is extremely varied. This can pose significant challenges for certain individuals. I have never viewed apathy as an intimidating ordeal or an obstacle to achievement. The guidance of my mother instilled in me the importance of being a trailblazer, not a conformist. Conforming doesn’t bother me. It depends on the situation and what I’m conforming to, but this lesson has enabled me to fully embrace my individuality.
Passions and Hobbies – What are your Interests and Hobbies outside of your Career?
I have a natural inclination towards humanitarian work and I’m also involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Humanitarian work is my passion, while pharmaceuticals are my profession. In addition to that, I enjoy training dogs as a hobby.
Milestones and Future Goals – What are some of the Milestones you hope to Achieve in the coming years?
In the near future, I will be graduating from my undergraduate pharmacy program, with plans to obtain my PharmD three years after that. I am also excited about the potential growth and success of my organization in the coming years.
Life Lessons – What is the most Valuable Lesson you’ve learned in your Life or Career?
Being Muslim and studying hadiths taught me that. Proper etiquette and ethics. Such as Manners and Respect can and will take you very far in life. Additionally, having a high emotional intelligence has helped tremendously, when interacting with people. Something about being able to control your emotions while understanding and acknowledging another person’s is magnifying.
