Mar Di Meglio is an actress from Argentina, living in New York. She was recently interviewed by Famo Celebrity Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with her.
Introduction – Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am an Argentinian performer based in New York, currently training and working in musical theatre. I am passionate about storytelling, character work, and exploring the emotional depth behind every role I take on. Living abroad has shaped both my craft and my sense of identity, pushing me to grow not only as an artist but as a person.
Personal Background – Can you share a little experience about your upbringing and early life?
I grew up in a very warm and expressive household where creativity was always encouraged. My family taught me resilience, humor, and the importance of staying connected to who I am. Those early years gave me the grounding I needed to take risks and follow my artistic path.

Career and Achievements – What do you consider the highlights of your career so far?
Some of my biggest highlights include training and performing in New York, getting to work with teachers and directors I deeply admire, and stepping into roles that have challenged me emotionally and technically. Every milestone abroad feels special because it represents the courage it took to start over in a new place. Performing at 54 below was not on my bing card for my first year working in New York after college but yet here I am performing regularly with Scott Siegel in “54 sings Broadway’s greatest hits”. Merkin hall and Broadway by the season is another wonderful achievement that makes me very proud and excited for what’s next.
Challenges and Growth – What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your career, and how did you overcome them?
The biggest challenges have been adapting to a new country, learning to be independent, and managing the emotional intensity that comes with performing. I overcame these by building a support system, trusting my process, allowing myself to learn from mistakes, and asking for help when I needed it.

Passions and Hobbies – What are your interests and hobbies outside of your career?
I love cooking, exploring the city, going to concerts and museums, and discovering new artists. I also really enjoy writing and spending time with people who inspire me.
Milestones and Future Goals – What are some of the milestones you hope to achieve in the coming years?
In the next few years I hope to work professionally in musical theatre, originate characters in new works, and collaborate with artists from different cultures. I want to keep training, expanding my range, and eventually explore screen acting as well. In the nearest future I would love to travel for work.

Life Lessons – What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your life or career?
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that growth happens outside of comfort. Every time I’ve taken a risk, I’ve discovered something new about myself. I’ve learned to embrace challenges, stay present, and trust my instincts.
Advice for Aspiring Artists – What advice would you give to young artists looking to make a mark in the industry?
Be patient with yourself, stay curious, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Build discipline, but also protect your joy. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and don’t be afraid to ask for opportunities or guidance. Your background is not an obstacle but a strength.
