FORT WORTH,TEXAS/ NOVEMBER 2025 –
Fort Worth creatives Kaiden Inthavong and Jesse Lane, known for their rising presence in North Texas’s independent music scene, are preparing to release their debut collaborative project titled Where We Left Off. Both artists, who go by @kaiden.inthavong and @gnfjesse on Instagram, grew up in the same area of Haltom City, an overlooked but culturally rich corner of Fort Worth, Texas, that has shaped their sound, perspective, and work ethic. Their shared roots created an instant connection that naturally developed into years of collaboration through their collective, @817ENVISION, a creative team made up of two artists and two producers. What began as a group of teenagers experimenting with music at age fifteen and sixteen has now grown into a tight-knit unit capable of producing, mixing, shooting, and promoting their own work from the ground up.
Their upcoming project Where We Left Off marks the first official body of work the duo has released together. The album is produced entirely by 817ENVISION’s in-house producers, Magz and SonofKali, giving it a fully unified sound and vision. Kaiden and Jesse explain that while they officially began assembling the project in July, the idea of creating a joint tape existed from the very beginning of their friendship. Over the years, both artists honed their individual skills, explored different sounds, and refined their creative identities which made this the perfect time to finally bring the project to life. They describe the EP as a blend of emotions, styles, and storytelling, intentionally crafted to connect with different types of listeners. “We wanted a song for every type of listener,” they share, emphasizing the versatility and intentionality behind the tracks.

Despite the excitement, the journey to completing the project was far from seamless. There were countless moments of uncertainty, trial, and adjustment especially during the final stages when they were trying to finalize the tracklist, determine the project’s flow, and choose the right single to release beforehand. They also faced the reality that being an independent artist means wearing dozens of hats at once. In order to bring their vision to life, Kaiden and Jesse had to learn how to shoot their own music videos, create promotional visuals, mix and produce their tracks, and handle every technical component themselves. What many artists outsource, they learned to master, driven by their shared belief that resourcefulness and consistency would keep them progressing even without outside help.
Their determination stems from a deeper place. Both Kaiden and Jesse attended college at one point but eventually realized the traditional academic path wasn’t aligned with their purpose. While they continue to work day jobs to support themselves, their true passion has always been music, a passion that has followed them since childhood. They cite this shared background and mindset as the foundation of their resilience. They describe themselves as ambitious, observant, and consistently motivated to do more than what the people around them often expect from individuals their age. Even when doubted or underestimated, they held onto their creative vision and continued refining their craft.

As they prepare to release Where We Left Off, the duo often finds themselves reflecting on how far they have come. They still revisit older songs not out of regret, but out of appreciation for the growth, the improvement, and the lessons learned with each track. Every attempt, every recording session, and every mistake helped them level up. The project embodies that evolution, capturing the rawness of their early years while highlighting the maturity and intentionality of their current sound.
For supporters, their message is heartfelt and clear. They hope listeners take the time to experience the project from start to finish, in order, exactly as they curated it. Each song was selected from a large catalogue of music created over the past several months, and the tracklist was arranged to create a complete emotional and artistic journey. “We spent a lot of time on this project, and we hope it’s something everyone can enjoy as much as we do,” they say. “Every song was cherry-picked. Nothing was random.”

Beyond the music, Kaiden and Jesse are pushing their creativity into new territories. They’ve taken full control of their visual branding, shooting their own music videos, directing their own trailer, producing their own promo content, and documenting their process along the way. These skills were born out of necessity, but now they are becoming major strengths that set them apart from other up-and-coming artists.
Entrepreneurship, they admit, comes with its own challenges. They had to invest in equipment they never expected to use themselves. They had to learn how to market their work, build engagement, and create promotional content that reflects their brand. Yet each hurdle only made them more capable and more confident in their abilities. What started as a passion has evolved into a business, a brand, and a long-term vision.

At their core, Kaiden Inthavong and Jesse Lane are two ambitious young creatives determined to carve their own path in the music industry on their own terms, with their own team, and with a unified purpose. Where We Left Off is more than a project; it’s a milestone, a statement, and a testament to how far dedication, resilience, and self-belief can take two artists with a shared dream.
